Over 17 years experience studying and performing various musical genres. 12 years experience providing individual private lessons. Received a music minor in performance at N.C. State University where also studied music theory and music composition with computers. State University), Dr. Jim Ketch (UNC-Chapel Hill), Dr. Britton Theurer (East Carolina University), Ramon Kenan (Raleigh Jazz Orchestra)

Concert Band - 4 years (Principle trumpet player 3 years); FVHS received superior ratings in grade five & six music all 4 years at the NC Symphonic Band Competition.
