Attendance policy and the reward:
The attendance to the in-class tests and final exam is mandatory. There
will be no make-up tests.
The only exceptions are either documented medical reasons, tragic event in the
family or documented religious excuse.
If you are not able to take the tests/exam for any of the above reasons, please
contact me before the test/exam or as soon as possible.
The attendance to the lectures is strongly encouraged, and the attendance
sheet will be taken daily.
If you are late, it will be recorded as well, and if you are two times
late it will count as one absence.
Students with 5 or less absences, will be able to
replace points from the lowest graded in-class test with the points from the
final (if they want).
Homework policy:
-Doing
homeworks regularly and on time is the best way to
learn material in calculus, and to be ready for tests and the final.
-For this course we will use WebAssign as a tool for homeworks.
-All of the homework problems for semester are already posted, so you can
plan ahead.
-I will inform you at the end of the class what area did we cover, and as a
general rule, deadline for the assignment will be 2-4 days after we are done
with the section. That deadline might be shorter in the special circumstances
(like when the test is in the near future).
-Students should submit solutions using WebAssign and
the deadlines will be strictly enforced.
-There are very useful guides to WebAssign here and here. If you have any
questions or problems with this software, please let me know.
