Welcome
I am a graduate
student in the Plant Pathology department at North Carolina State
University in Raleigh, NC. My research interests at
NCSU focus on
greenhouse floriculture crops. The greenhouse and nursery industry is
third only behind hogs and broilers in NC. Increased understanding
of pathogens will hopefully improve management options
available
for
growers for these high value crops. My current work at NCSU involves
phenotypic and genotypic characterization of the Phytophthora
species impacting NC
greenhouse crops. Previous work looked at binucleate
Rhizoctonia
and Trichoderma
hamatum 382 as
biological control options for Botrytis blight in geranium.

I'm getting married! Hopefully once things calm down after the wedding and I have some "free-time", I'll get the personal page up.
August 1-5, 2009
101st APS meeting, Portland, Oregon. I'll be presenting a poster of my current research. I am also helping co-organize and co-moderate a special session on Plant Pathology jobs in industry.
