Forest fragmentation and butterfly
diversity
In collaboration with researchers from the Biological Dynamics of
Forest
Fragments Project (BDFFP), Allison Leidner and Nick Haddad are
studying long term effects of habitat fragmention on butterfly
communities. Working in the world's largest forest fragmentation
project, we are working with a 10-yr record of butterfly diversity
collected by Roger Hutchings, Keith Brown, and others in the Brazillian
fragments. We are styding the effects of fragment area on trends
and variability in butterfly diversity.
