Service in the Raleigh Community

2009-present Volunteer. Step-UP Ministries Children’s Program.

Step-UP children’s program serves economically disadvantaged families by providing a safe and nurturing environment where children birth-16 yrs can feel valued, capable, and challenged to reach his/her highest potential. The 9-month program has three goals that parallel the adult program: 1) Financial Literacy: to provide children with an understanding of the value of monetary systems and financial institutions, 2) Personal Development: to enhance the personal development of each child, and 3) Career/Academic Achievement: to improve the academic performance of each child within the school setting. Program coordinator: Colisha Gilbert.

Together NC is collection of non-profit organizations, service providers, and professional associations who have come together to promote wise choices for shared prosperity for all North Carolinians.
