Delphi Survey

I have completed a Delphi Survey to develop a list of landscape types and wildlife species for a conservation planning project in the Triangle Region. The approach is a hybrid of landscape- (ecosystem) and species-based approaches. It is based in part on the umbrella and keystone species concepts, which are explained in "Survey Part 1".

The proposed list of landscapes and focal species appears in Part 3 of the Survey (see below).

The Delphi Technique is designed to provide data based on expert judgement in the absence of reliable empirical data. It provides a structured procedure for communication among panelists, and assessment of group judgement.
