Welcome to the maize breeding and genetics program in the Department of Crop Science at North Carolina State University, under the direction of Dr. Major Goodman. Our program is focuses on the improvement of maize through the application of quantitative genetics theory and the incorporation of exotic germplasm in traditional maize breeding.
