Blizzard Comparison
The ridge is evident in the West, as in the composites.
The precursor disturbance organizes by 12Z on the 24th.
Even though the High was not in the same position as the
composite High, its position with the Low in Ontario was favorable for
cold air advection prior to snowfall .
The 00Z analysis on the 25th is very similar to the +24 hr
composite map.
Overall the "Blizzard of 2000" was very similar to the composites
our study generated.
