Academic Info

I am the ExecutiveAssistant in the Department of Mathematics at NC State University.  I have over 33 years of state service of which 26 years have been here at NC State Univeristy. I serve as financial advisor to the Department Head and as manager of the budget and staff operations of the Math Department. Before coming to the Math Department, I worked on campus in University Planning and Analysis and Poultry Science Extension.

    Background
My husband (Jimmy) and I have been married over 30 years and we have a daughter named Heather. She graduated from NC State with a Masters in Public Administration and is now married to a wonderful man named Seth.

     Interests
I love to listen to music, mostly new age or relaxing piano instrumentals.  I enjoy reading a good book. Some of my favorite authors are Danielle Steel, Sandra Brown, Debbie Macomber and Ann B Ross. I also enjoy watching television. Some of my favorite shows are Army Wives, 24, Survivor, The Amazing Race and The Bachelor.

I enjoy going to horse shows to watch Heather show one of her two arabian horses  "Flamethrower LOA"  and "CF Audacious". The horses are kept at "Black Creek Arabians" which is the name of our barn. Our other pets are a golden retreiver named "Mary Ann" and a golden cat named "Kitty". We also raise cows on our farm. I also have a energetic chocolate lab for a granddog named "Harley". My favorite vacation spot is the beach. I  also like Las Vegas and Hawaii.
