2. Goals and Objectives:
 MA 114  Introduction to Finite Mathematics with Applications

Students will develop skills in using

Students will learn to apply these skills to behavioral, managerial and biological sciences.
3. Textbook:
Topics in Finite Mathematics, by Lavon B. Page and Sandra O. Paur, Simon & Schuster Custom Publishing 1996. Price $18.70

5. Tentative schedule of reading assignments
 

Read the sections to be covered above before coming to class.
6. Tentative schedule of homework due dates, quizzes and tests
Homework is due every day.  You will be working in groups.
The tests are on May 31, June 7, 14, and 21.
The final is on Thursday, June 29 at 1:00 pm.  It is a 3 hour test.
7. Determination of grades: + and - system
 
 
Homework: 10%
Tests:  60%
Final Exam:  30% 

Attendance:    Students who miss 4 or fewer classes may count their lowest test as half a test.  All absences count the same for attendance purposes.
 

8. Policy on incomplete grades and late assignments:  Late homework will not be graded.
