Prerequisites:

MA 341

Class Description:

Fundamental theorems on continuous functions; convergence theory of sequences, series and integrals; uniform convergence; contraction maps; fixed point theorem; the Riemann integral

Class Policy:

Regular class attendance is expected. Solving homework problems is an important part of preparation for tests in the class. Selected homework problems will be graded. Travel plans cannot be considered as a reason for making up the exams

Exams:

• Exam 1: Tuesday, October 12
• Exam 2: Tuesday, November 23
• Final exam: Tuesday, December 14, 8:00–11:00 am

Grading:

• Exams 50%
• Final exam 30%
• Homework 20%
• A: 85–100, B: 75–84, C: 65–74, D: 55–64, F: below 55, with the cutoffs for the +/- grades determined at the end of the semester

Simple (nonprogrammable) calculators are allowed
