OVERVIEW
Research in my lab focuses on a variety of questions associated with the ecology of individuals, populations, and communities in aquatic ecosystems. Often, my research examines selective pressures that shape individual life-history strategies in particular environments. This serves as a foundation for understanding how individual strategies influence population structure and dynamics, and how population processes influence aquatic communities and ecosystems. My research program generally exists at the interface of basic and applied ecology; ecological and evolutionary theory drive research questions within the context of better understanding, managing, and predicting patterns in populations of harvested fish species.
