My current research interests are in linear/nonlinear equations, mixed-precision algorithms, neutron transport problems, and computational quantum chemistry and physics.

In the past I worked on multilevel methods for integral equations, quasi-Newton methods, semiconductor modeling, optimal control, optimization of noisy functions, and flow in porous media.

I distribute MATLAB software for Linear Equations, Nonlinear Equations, and Optimization . I have new Julia software for Nonlinear equations.

My new book: Solving Nonlinear Equations with Iterative Methods: Solvers and Examples in Julia published in print on Oct 31, 2022, just in time for holiday giving.
Check out the Julia package and the Notebook .
