Laminates Testing Laboratory
NEMA LD3 testing (High Pressure Decorative Paper Laminates - HPDL)
We are capable of running the full series of tests prescribed in NEMA
LD-3
(2005). Current personnel have been running these tests since
1984.
In addition to testing HPDL to the NEMA LD3 standard, we have attempted
to accomodate requests to test other materials according to the NEMA
LD3
test methods, however, results from testing other materials with these
procedures may result in values that can be misleading or incompatable
with the results from testing HPDL.
We assist the NEMA Technical Committee responsible for creating and
revising the LD3 standards by evaluating test methods, and preforming
reference
and referee testing as an independent laboratory.

NALFA LF-01 testing (Laminate Flooring)
The Laminate Flooring Industry has published standards for Laminate
Flooring
through the auspices of the North American Laminate Flooring
Association
(NALFA) as NALFA
LF-01-2003. The standard is available on the NALFA web site (http://www.nalfa.com/productStandards.php)
and print copies are available direct from NALFA (see their web site
for
address and contact information). The standard covers
residential,
light commercial, and commercial grade laminate flooring.
We
have
been working with the laminate flooring industry on the development and
evaluation of standards for laminate flooring since 1997 as an
outgrowth
of our work on HPDL testing. We are capable of running the full
basic
set of required tests in the NALFA LF-01 standard. We operate as
an independent test laboratory capable of providing testing services
required
for NALFA product certification (contact
