Here's the current itinerary for the Fall 2002 North American Tour, with details for individual concerts and dances
(as far as I've been informed of them).

Under the leadership of Georgi Doichev, the folk ensemble BULGARI reunites at
JFK Airport on Monday afternoon, October 7, for a fall 2002 tour.

Listed below are tour dates, both booked and open for engagements.  If you
are interested in hosting or arranging a BULGARI concert, workshop or dance

10/9, Wednesday, performance:  Philadelphia (PA) Museum of Art, 5 p.m. to 8
p.m. (www.philamuseum.org).

10/11, Friday evening, performance: Sveta Troitza Russian Orthodox Church,
Vineland, NJ (details - tba, contact ivetapirgova@hotmail.com).

Friday, 10/11, 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 2211 West
Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Phone: 856-696-1579. General admission: $15,
free to small children. (Their first performance, last night in the Great
Stair Hall of the Philadelphia Museum of Art in Philadelphia, was attended by
a good crowd of toddlers-to-seniors, and enjoyed by all). Directions to Holy

10/13, Sunday afternoon, Upper Darby (PA) International Bazaar (two afternoon
performances; opportunity for private instruction).  For additional

Upper Darby (PA) International Bazaar (taking place at the Upper Darby
High School, Lansdowne Avenue between State Road and Garrett Road in Upper
Darby. Bazaar hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be two perforances, one
with opportunity for participatory dancing. Phone: 610-352-4432 for more
information. Upper Darby is just west of Philly and convenient to Exit 9 of
Route 476. Admission: $2

Wednesday, October 23 Bulgari will perform at The Chalet (where we
normally have dancing) in Portland, Oregon. Bulgari, formed and led
by Georgi Doichev, has 11 Bulgarian musicians, singers and dancers. The
members of Bulgari are masters and recognized soloists of their respective
instruments -gajda, kaval, gadulka, and tambura - and the amazing vocal
techniques that have made Bulgarian music famous worldwide.
   This will be a not-to-be-missed opportunity to experience this group in an
intimate setting.
   The concert/performance will begin at 7:30pm, followed by a dance
party until 9:30 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door, no advanced
purchase.

Directions: The Chalet is on Taylors Ferry Road between Capitol
 Highway and 80th.
     From the North take the Capitol Highway exit off I-5,
 turn left off the exit onto Taylors Ferry, drive about
 1 1/2 miles west until you get to 7045 (there will be
 signs). If you start driving through curves, you've
 gone too far.
     From the South take the Barbur Blvd exit off I-5,
 turn right onto Barbur (Pacific Highway/99) about
 2 miles to Capitol Highway. Go 1 block north on
 Capitol to the 4 way stop. Turn left onto Taylors
 Ferry Road. Drive about 1 3/4 miles west to 7045
 SW Taylors Ferry.
     Parking is limited. Carpooling is encouraged. Some
 parking is available in front of the hall, but plan
 to park on 69th or 70th streets, then walk over to
 the hall.


10/24, Eugene, Oregon - concert

October 24 Bulgari will perform at the Hult Center in Eugene. Bulgari,
formed and led by Georgi Doichev, has 11 Bulgarian musicians, singers and
dancers.
The Hult Center, in cooperation with Veselo Community Folk Dancers of
Eugene, has invited Naslada Dance Troupe of Portland to give a free
performance in the Hult lobby before the Bulgari concert. What an evening!
The concert will be in the Soreng Theater at 7:30 PM on Thursday, October
24. Tickets ($20 on the floor and $14 in the balcony) can be purchased by
contacting the Hult ticket office at 541-682-5000 or at www.hultcenter.org.

11/1, Bulgarian Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

Great news for all you lovers of Bulgarian music and dance!! Bulgari will be
in Hollywood on Friday, November 1. The concert featuring 5 top-notch
musicians, 4 fantastic dancers and 1 incredible singer will start around 7
p.m. at the Masonic Temple , 1900 N. Vermont (NE corner of Vermont &
Franklin).  Dancing to music by Bulgari to follow the concert. Refreshments
will be available.   Admission is $18. Don't miss this fabulous ensemble!


11/2, Santa Barbara, California

Save the date: Saturday, Nov. 2, 8 PM at the UCSB Multicultural Center -
BULGARI, one of the hottest ensembles in Bulgaria, is coming back to UCSB
for an evening of music and dance. Concert at 8, followed by a reception in
which they will play for dancing. The last time they came was in spring,
2000, and they were great fun!
tickets are $12 for general admission, $8 for students. Reservations at Arts
and Lectures ticket office: 893-3535. Reserve your tickets early - it is a
small hall, and will fill up fast!
