Welcome!

Hello! My name is Chris Brasfield and I am a graduate student in the Mathematics Department. I received my undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY.
I was married to my wife Ashley in 2004, and we have two cats named Frankie (black) and Charlie (orange). At WKU I was very active on the WKU Forensics Team (see link below)

In terms of interests, I love sports especially baseball, football, and hockey. I am a big Yankees fan and spend too much of my time watching every Yankees game via Gamecast on ESPN.com because I don't have MLB TV. I also enjoy playing guitar and singing with my brother in our band: Grandma's Genius (see the link below.)

My current research interests are: harmonic analysis, wavelets, and complex analysis. In short—I like analysis, because I like watching things converge.

I am currently a TA for:

MA 111- Section 005
With recitation sections on Tuesday afternoons.

I have office hours on: THURSDAY 2:00-4:00
My office is in 2806 Hillsborough Street, Suite 201
