Legal Environment of Business in the Information Age

   

 

On May 21, 2001 the Cyberlaw Initiative sponsored a symposium that focused on Internet Privacy and Security. Featured speakers included: U.S. Senator John Edwards, Richard Smith of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Ms. Mary Masacchia, corporate counsel for SAS, Lawrence Baxter of Wachovia Bank and Trust and State Senator Eric Reeves.

 

On September 26, 2003 the Cyberlaw Initiative Co-Sponsored a Cyberlaw and Cybercrime Law Conference at the University of North Carolina School of Law along with the Journal of Law and Technology at UNC.

A promising anti-spam bill is being debatd in Congress. The acronym for the bill is CAN-SPAM
