Development of Practical Methods for Estimating Volatile Organic
Compound (VOC) Reactivities
This is
a pilot study to develop and assess the utility of neural network
and other models for estimating photochemical reactivities of volatile
organic compounds (VOCs) in the atmosphere from molecular characteristics.
The effort includes development of prototype models and evaluation
against existing experimental data and/or predictions of other models.
Such models include
artificial neural networks, decision trees, rule sets, and
probabilistic Bayesian networks.
