Responsibilities
Ann Burrows serves as secretary for the Family and Consumer
Sciences agent and the 4-H Youth Development agent and primary web
posting person on the current staff. She also serves Vance
County citizens as a building receptionist as well as through general
office duties.
Experience
Ann began work with Extension August 3, 1987, with Phyllis C. Stainback
and Deborah J. Taylor, who were then called Home Economics agents.
Prior to 1987 Ann worked as:
* rollstock clerk for
Owens-Illinois Corrugated Box Plant in Ridgeway for a year
* food stamp clerk with Warren County
Department of Social Services for a year;
* secretary for the PACT (Parent and
Child Training Program) and Medicaid/Medicare/Insurance reimbursements
clerk for Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse in
Henderson for 7 years
* church secretary for Warrenton Baptist
Church for 2 years
* secretary for Cullom Baptist
Association for 5 years
Education
Graduated from John Graham High School in Warrenton in 1970.
In-service training through Mental Health in areas of computer
operation, stress management, fiscal reimbursements over 7 years
In-service training through Cooperative Extension in many evolving
areas of computer operation, Extension policies, and federal reporting
over 20 years.
