Alex Fink

I am a postdoctoral research assistant in mathematics at North Carolina State, working with Seth Sullivant. In the fall of 2013 I will begin as a Lecturer in Pure Mathematics at Queen Mary, University of London.

My research interests are principally in algebraic combinatorics, especially where commutative algebra or algebraic geometry apply; matroid theory and tropical geometry have been recent themes. Here are my CV and a research statement.

Activities

I remain an organiser, with Bojko Bakalov, of the NCSU algebra / combinatorics seminar.
