Greetings!!

I am Aswini Kumar Singh Jasrotia a native of India, presently working towards PhD program at NC State University. Previously, I was working as Quality Assurance Manager with Home Bistro Foods Inc. at Plattsburgh, upstate NY. I completed MS in Food Science from Food Science Department at North Carolina State University (NCSU), Raleigh NC, USA in Dec 2004. I was a grauduate Research Assistant and worked with Prof. K P Sandeep and Dr. Josip Simunovic in area of Food Engineering.

As a part of my Master of Science program, I was involved in research of Aseptic Processing of Low Acid Multiphase Foods (specifically foods containing large particles). I specifically worked on design, construction and validation of conservative thermal properties of simulated food particles used for on-line, real time monitoring during thermal processing. This study was a continuation of research and development work performed at NCSU during the last decade dealing with measurements, monitoring and validation of aseptic multiphase processing, and including residence time measurements, time-temperature history evaluation, validation and recording as well as design and construction of simulated food particles with conservative flow and thermal properties. This research area needs an understanding of the mechanics of the fluids and the property changes of various food system under different processes in typical heating units like the Heat exchanges or a Microwave. I graduated with Bacholers - B.Tech ( Honors ) in Agriculture and Food Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur (IIT Kgp).
