Cellular localization of phosphoinositides: The regulation of different functions of phosphoinositides in plants may be reflected in the intracellular organization of phosphoinositides and of enzymes involved in their synthesis. Activity of phosphoinositide kinases, such as PtdIns 4-kinase and PtdInsP 5-kinase, have been found associated with the actin cytoskeleton as well as with various membrane and soluble fractions, and appears to change during plant development.
