The inaugural offering of the ASEE Advanced National Effective Teaching Institute (NETI-2) took place in Seattle, Washington, at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, on October 7-8, 2012.

The NETI facilitators were Rebecca Brent, Mike Prince, and Rich Felder.

48 participants from 37 institutions spent two days working on different learner-centered teaching methods. Sometimes they listened to the facilitators

and they often worked in small groups on workshop-related activities and individually on courses they were developing.

Monique Arbertha of the ASEE made all the NETI arrangements and coordinated the registration, and whenever anybody needed anything, Mas Tadesse (left) and Monique (right) were right there to provide it.

The breaks and meals (with none too shabby views out the windows) and first-evening reception provided opportunities for more interactions, both on and off the workshop topic.

Everyone was in a good enough mood on the last day to pose for group shots. As the pictures suggest, a fine time was had by all.
