SCENES FROM THE 2012 NETI

The 2012 National Effective Teaching Institute took place in San Antonio, Texas, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, on June 7-9, 2012.

The NETI facilitators were Rebecca Brent, Rich Felder, Mike Prince, and NETI Fellow Cindy Finelli.

57 participants from 37 institutions spent three days working on different aspects of teaching with the facilitators and one another. Sometimes they listened to the facilitators

           

and they often worked individually or in small groups, occasionally joined by one of the facilitators.

       

   

       

   

   

Monique Arbertha of the ASEE made all the NETI arrangements and coordinated the registration, and whenever anybody needed anything, Monique was right there to provide it.



The breakfasts, breaks, lunches, and the first-evening reception provided opportunities for more interactions, both on and off the workshop topic.

           

           

           

Everyone was in a good enough mood on the last day to pose for pictures in their final course design groups. As the pictures suggest, a good time was had by all.
