The short term (one year) and long term goals all evolve around computational mathematics.
(i). Continue to update of MA 427,8 on Numerical Analysis I and II
(ii). Continue to teach the new MA 205 on “Elements of Matrix Computations,” which provides “math-on-time.”
(i). I will continue to work on the numerical control and parameter identifications for applications involving the diffusion advection PDE.
(ii). Parallel algorithms related to "optimal multisplittings" and multicore computers.
I will continue to serve on a variety committees related to course and teaching development. I am particularly interested in the evolution of course materials related to undergraduates who have and interest in computation, mathematics and applications.
