Jessica Young

About Me....

I am from Natural Bridge, VA, which is located in the mountains of the Shendandoah Valley and is absolutely gorgeous. I enjoy being outside--mountain biking, running, hiking, snowboarding, fishing....

I am a PhD student in the Computer Science Department at North Carolina State University. I am a Research Assistant for Dr. Antón.

In May 2007, I received Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Roanoke College. While at Roanoke I did a couple different research projects. The first focused on creating a web portal where people with disabilities and/or their caregivers could find the needed information about their disabilities. The second project focused on creating an interface that visualized a database with multi-dimensional data. For the computer science major, I took a variety of CS classes. Since I also majored in Mathematics, I have a strong math background.
