I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Zoology working with Nick Haddad.  Prior to beginning graduate school at North Carolina State University in 2005, I worked on several field research projects with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the University of California Cooperative Extension, and The Nature Conservancy.  These experiences fostered an interest in how changing landscapes affect populations and communities, and my dissertation research focuses on the effects of changing climate patterns and landscapes affect the ecology and conservation of amphibians in the southeastern coastal plain.
