2. Goals and Objectives:

    MA231 is the second course of a two-semester sequence in calculus, designed for students who
    require a brief overview of the basic concepts, including modeling and differential equations. The
    first course in the sequence, and the prerequisite for MA231 is MA131. MA121 cannot be accepted
    as the prerequisite.

3. Text and Supplementary Material:

       The textbook  is available at the bookstore with a price about $100 for new,  and $75 for used.
       It may be listed under 'MA131' at the bookstore. The supplementary is also available at bookstore,
       for a price around $5.00.

4. Grading Policy

      Note: Half-open-book means you can bring a sheet with useful formulas, theorems, etc. on it.

5. Class Regulation:
      Late arrival and early departure are not allowed. Could be counted as absence.
      Constant talking and irrelevant reading are prohibited.
