Excellent instructor.
The department needs more instructors like Dr. Ma.
Good teacher but speaks softly.
Taught the material well. Didn.t try tricking us on exams like every other professor does.
Did use lots of examples which was very helpful.
Straight-forward and to-the-point. Liked how homework was on the web and practice tests were available. Also liked how lots of example problems were done in class.
Overall, very good.
I enjoyed Nancy Ma.s Fluid Mechanics class. She provided and solved beneficial and relevant example problems during class. The class suited my learning style perfectly. I was also impressed with the fact that she encouraged students to move from the back of the room to the front rows. I have never had a professor really care whether or not the students learned the material like her. She also provided extra classes on bonus material, which I enjoyed. Overall, Ma was a great professor..
Great method of teaching for subject matter.
Out of all MAE courses I.ve taken this one has been taught in a way that makes it less frustrating to grasp, each topic has been well defined.
She did a good job explaining the material as well as what is expected on the assignments.
She did many examples allowing us to understand all points of one problem.
She taught us what we NEEDED to know in the field of fluid mechanics and that.s all that matters.
The instructor taught in a manner that is straight and to the point, I liked that. Her only downfall was that she has a quiet voice and was hard to hear on days when the microphone wasn.t working..
The information was interested and seems like it will be applicable in the future.
Dr. Ma was an excellent teacher. She was one of the best teachers that I have had in college. I wish more teachers were as concerned about learning as she is. Most other teachers are more worried about tricking you than teaching you..
The course was good.
Excellent instructor. Worked lots of examples and related course material to its use in the field.
Course has just the right amount of material so that it did not seem rushed or dragged out.
Dr. Ma is an excellent and pragmatic instructor. The ONLY engineering professor I.ve had that can actually make almost every student learn, and reflect that learning with a decent grade.
I think that Dr. Ma is an awesome teacher and I wouldn.t change a thing!

I thoroughly enjoyed this class and thought you did well presenting material and preparing for class.
Lectures were straightforward and material was presented clearly. Good examples. Good answers to questions. Lots of good test prep. Tests were straightforward. Good material.
Very well prepared all the time. Defined what was expected. Keeps motivation high. Great instructor! Teach 400+ for us seniors.
Very good at explaining the difficult physics of heat transfer. Having homework and solutions online helped.
Good organization of notes online and homework.
Well organized notes. Spoke and wrote clearly. No surprises on tests.
Very friendly and receptive to students.
Explains things well during office hours.
Dr. Ma is the most fair, straight-forward professor I.ve had.

She taught well and would answer questions in her office hours. Overall she was quite good. The course was pretty easy the way she teaches it. No real weaknesses.
Use great examples in class and gives excellent explanations to questions. Overall interesting course.
Soft spoken at times, but more than willing to help outside of class which was appreciated. Very approachable. Best professor this semester!.
The teaching style used is the best style that works for me. I have made the best grades in this class than any other class I have taken in my major. Solving problems in class shows the student how to apply what is learned. More instructors need to adapt this style of teaching..

The best teacher I have had in this department. You need more like her. She actually cares about teaching us and teaching us well. I have yet to have another teacher as GREAT as her.
My most articulate teacher. Gave many examples which was very helpful. Very fair tests.

Very clear and easy to understand. Overall great semester. I would gladly take another class with Dr. Ma.

I wanted very badly to hate this course and instructor. As an ME it has become second nature to hate all things, but she was just too damn fair to hate. Good teacher, fair grader.
