I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University since 2005 Fall. I received my B.S. degree from the Department of Computer Science at Korea Military Academy (KMA), Seoul, south Korea in 1996 and M.S. degree from the Department of Computer Science at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, south Korea in 2000 respectively.

After I finished my B.S. degree, I worked for 39th infantry division of Korean Army as a platoon leader for 15 months before I started my M.S. degree at KAIST. After my M.S. degree, I worked for the department of computer science at Korea Military Academy as an instructor and assistant professor for about 3 years and also worked for 23rd infantry division of Korean Army as a company commander for one and half years.

My research interests lie in Peer to Peer(P2P) systems and network security. I'm currently working on free-rider prevention techniques and content pollution problems in P2P systems with my advisor Dr. Douglas S. Reeves and with my co-advisor Dr. Injong Rhee.
