The following is a list of links to other websites that I have found useful or interesting in my work and life.

This are links to interesting/useful web pages in the area of youth development, outdoor education, childhood obesity, sport and physical activity. It is a mix of personal web pages of those who are involved in work in the area as well as websites of key organizations that provide useful information.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT:

• Public/Private Ventures: Some excellent reports and articles on action based research relating to youth, communities and neighborhood factors.
• Search Institute: A non-profit organization whose website contains some good links to youth development research.
• Future of Children: A great resource filled with articles relating to youth policy and programmatic research.
• Harvard University Out of School Time Research Database: Good source of information relating to factors relating to out of school time use.

OUTDOOR EDUCATION:

• James Neill's wilderdom website: An interesting website set up by James Neill, an eccentric Australian.  This site provides information and links full-text articles about the philosophy, theory, research, and evaluation of outdoor education and related programs. It also contains links to lots of other things related to the outdoors.
• Rick Curtis's Outdoor Ed website: An excellent resource for up to date articles related to the outdoor and adventure education field.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY & CHILDHOOD OBESITY :

• Active Living Research Page: Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, a website that has produced some interesting research relating to environmental factors and policies that influence physical activity.
• Action for Healthy Kids: A website summarizing innovative strategies to get children more active and healthy.
