AOL Instant Messenger is the most popular of the messaging tools out there and you may already have it. AIM is primarily a text-based instant messaging tool, but if you have a sound card and a microphone you will be able to speak to me directly just as if you called me on the telephone! This is another very convenient communication tool. Feel free to use it as often as you like to contact me. To use AIM: For full functionality you will need to download AIM to your computer. Go to http://www.aim.com/index.adp and get it for free. Follow the instructions provided by AOL. You will only need to download AIM the first time you use it. There is a Java version that does not require any download called AIM Express and it works well. However, you only get the full functionality of AIM if you download it. Adding me to your Buddies list: Once you have AIM running properly on your computer, add me (MathTAJenn) as a "buddy" so that you know when I am logged in. To add me as a buddy, click the "List Setup" tab at the top of the AIM window. Then, locate the "Add Buddy" icon at the bottom of the window, click it, and enter my screen name. Once you contact me the first time I will add you to my buddy list as well. |
