I received a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea in 1995. After working as a middle school teacher for six years, I decided to learn Computer Science and began undergraduate study in Computer Science at Blinn College, Bryan, TX and Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, in 2001. I entered the Master's program in Computer Science at NCSU in 2003 and joined the Intellimedia research group at NCSU as a Ph.D. student in the summer 2006, working with Dr. James C. Lester.

My research interests lie in computational linguistics with an emphasis on natural language generation. My Ph.D. work will focus on real-time natural language generation in intelligent tutoring systems using statistical methods for spoken dialogue NLG.
